Most measures will involve an initial outlay of money but will more than pay for themselves in the reduced energy bills they will result in.

Reducing Heat loss

Reducing Energy Waste

Standby – Turning electrical appliances off standby mode is obvious energy saving tip, it is also possible to put a timer on some appliances, like internet routers – if using a wireless laptop it is easy to forget to turn off the wireless router after use at night.

Try not to use Halogen and Traditional light bulbs; they waste energy (as well as emitting light they emit proportionately large quantities of heat). Low energy bulbs are a superior, cost effective alternative.
